Laid off Single mom w/ too much debt for unemployment benefits....nervous and stressed...any feedback?

I just recently was laid off a week ago and got approved today for $1240 a month of unemployment benefits. That does not cover basic cost of living such as rent etc NOT to mention the $11,000 credit card debt I have + a verizon phone contract I am stuck in for another month....that basically I have to cut cost to maintain my basic bills. Anyone know what happens when you default on credit cards and VZW contracts? And if and when I find a new job will my wages me garnished at that time from collection agencies? What are my options? Its not enough debt for bankruptcy and ALL credit consolidate places I talk to want me to pay min of $250 a month which I cant afford.

My sons dad is also laid off currently and has been for last year and have not seen a dime from him in almost a year so I cant hold my breath for help from him.

I feel so pathetic and am so desperate and stressed out....any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated.
